PickupIndex grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access, view, and utilize our public catalog and comparison calculators solely for personal, non-commercial vehicle research and evaluation purposes.

The proprietary software architecture, normalized vehicle taxonomy, UI components, codebases, and visual stylesheets of PickupIndex.com are protected by copyright, trade dress, and database protection laws. You agree not to:

• Engage in aggressive automated scraping, systematic data extraction, or bulk extraction of catalog assets without prior written consent.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or tamper with security controls, rate limiters, or web application firewalls.
• Republish, resell, license, or commercially redistribute our curated vehicle telemetry feeds without explicit licensing agreements.
• Use the platform in any manner that impairs or damages the functionality, responsiveness, or availability of our servers.

2. Automotive Specification, Towing & Payload Disclaimers

You explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following vehicle capability conditions:

• The Door-Jamb Payload Formula: Real-world payload capacity is governed by Available Payload = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) − As-Equipped Curb Weight. Every factory-installed option (e.g., skid plates, heavy-duty suspension packages, power moonroofs, bed liners, running boards) and aftermarket accessory adds curb weight and directly reduces legal cargo-carrying capacity.
• Passenger & Cargo Reductions: Advertised maximum towing and payload capacities assume a standard 150-lb driver and zero passenger or cargo weight. The weight of passengers, cargo in the bed or cabin, and trailer tongue weight (typically 10% to 15% of conventional trailer weight) must all be deducted from available payload.
• Hitch & Brake Equipment: Maximum towing ratings require specific factory equipment, including verified frame-mounted hitch receivers, appropriate ball mounts, electrical wiring harnesses, weight-distributing hitches (where mandated by manufacturer guidelines), and integrated trailer brake controllers.
• Consult Official OEM Manuals: Always consult the official manufacturer vehicle owner's manual, OEM trailering guide, and your local state Department of Transportation regulations before loading cargo or hitching a trailer. PickupIndex assumes no liability for vehicle overloading, mechanical failure, structural damage, accidents, or regulatory citations resulting from hauling or towing.

3. Third-Party Pricing, Options & Dealership Quotations

Vehicle pricing—including Base MSRP, Destination & Handling charges, and factory option package costs—is compiled directly from manufacturer ordering guides, published window stickers (Monroney labels), and verified factory build sheets.

You acknowledge and understand that:

• Dealership Pricing Autonomy: Automobile dealerships in the United States and Canada are independently owned and operated businesses. Franchised dealers possess full legal autonomy to establish final vehicle transaction prices, apply dealer markups ("market adjustments"), offer dealer discounts, or require dealer-installed accessory packages.
• Out-the-Door Costs: Window sticker pricing does not include mandatory state or local sales taxes, vehicle registration and licensing fees, tire disposal fees, or dealer documentation fees ("doc fees"). Total out-the-door transaction costs will vary depending on your delivery location and dealer terms.
• Inventory Availability: Inventory statuses, arrival dates, and factory allocations change continuously. PickupIndex does not guarantee that any specific vehicle, trim, or color listed in our catalog is currently in stock at any specific dealership.
• Not a Broker or Dealer: PickupIndex does not sell, lease, finance, or broker motor vehicles. All purchasing agreements, purchase contracts, and warranty representations are negotiated directly between you and an authorized selling dealership.

4. Pure Automotive Independence & Zero-Commission Declaration

Any outbound links to external manufacturer websites (e.g., build-and-price tools, owner manuals, specification sheets) are provided strictly for informational convenience. Outbound links do not contain affiliate tracking codes, referral tags, or monetization scripts.
